Post-Doc Researcher
Helmut Schmidt University
Postdoctoral researcher and Lecturer at Helmut Schmidt University, Hamburg, Germany ( Professorship of Computer Science in Mechanical Engineering).
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computation and PhD in Mathematics, all from the University of Minho. My Doctoral Thesis, completed in 2025, focused on “Neural Networks Based on Differential Equations for Modelling Real Systems” specifically developing architectures that model differential equations to data and methods to incorporate system's constraints into neural networks. My research interests lie at the intersection of mathematics and computer science, with a focus on enhancing the performance of real-world systems modelling.
Research Interests: Neural Networks; Scientific-Machine Learning; Neural Ordinary Differential Equations; Physics-Informed Neural Networks; Optimization for Machine Learning; Differential Equations; Real Systems Modelling, Time Series; Climate AI;
