On the 24th of October 2025, the work "Um método baseado em redes neuronais para problemas de controlo ótimo", carried out by the student Emmanuela Gonçalves Villar (BSc in Data Science) under the supervision of CMAT members Cecília Coelho, Fernanda Costa and Luís Ferrás was awarded a research initiation prize by the University of Minho.
