On the 12th of December 2023, the works "Algorithm for colouring planar graphs without loops or triangles", carried out by the student André Ferreira (BSc in Computer Science) under the supervision of CMAT member Assis Azevedo, and "Maps between Grassmannians", carried out by the student Ricardo Brasil (BSc in Mathematics) under the supervision of CMAT members Ana Cristina Ferreira and Lucile Vandembroucq, were awarded a research initiation prize by the University of Minho. Congratulations to André and Ricardo!
