Title: Recent Advances in Toeplitz-Like Matrix Computations

Abstract: Toeplitz-like structured matrices arise in many areas of scientific computing, numerical analysis, and image processing. Their special structure enables the development of fast and efficient numerical algorithms for large-scale linear systems.

In this seminar, we present recent advances in numerical methods for Toeplitz-like systems, including quasi-Toeplitz, Toeplitz-plus-Hankel, and block structured matrices. Fast algorithms for tridiagonal and quasi-pentadiagonal systems will be discussed, together with stability and error analysis.

Applications to numerical schemes and image restoration problems will also be presented through several numerical experiments.
