Title: G2*-structures and their holonomy

Abstract:  In this seminar, we will start with a brief overview on the topic of holonomy groups in pseudo-Riemannian geometry. We will then focus on the non-compact exceptional Lie group G2* and discuss holonomy subgroups in the presence of a left-invariant structure. This is part of a joint work with Viviana del Barco (Campinas, Brazil) and Ines Kath (Greifswalf, Germany).
