Altino Santos has a degree in Pure Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (1996). He obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics at the same university (1998) and a PhD degree in Mathematics (geometry / topology) at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2006). He is an Assistant Professor at the Mathematics Department of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. Presently, he develops research in Combinatorial Geometry and Topology. Current interests include: isometric foldings and classification of  f-tilings in the plane and the sphere.
