The 6th International Symposium on Nonparametric Statistics (ISNPS 2024) took place at the Altice Forum Braga in Braga, Portugal, from June 25 to 29, 2024. Organized by the Centro de Matemática of the Universidade do Minho, the event was co-sponsored by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability. This biennial symposium brought together nearly 400 participants from around the globe, including researchers, practitioners, and students, to engage in discussions about the latest developments and trends in nonparametric statistics. The scientific program was rich and diverse, featuring seven plenary talks delivered by renowned experts, 239 invited talks spanning 60 sessions, 78 contributed presentations, and 20 poster presentations. The topics addressed a wide range of cutting-edge areas, including statistical learning, Bayesian nonparametrics, functional data analysis, high-dimensional data, goodness-of-fit, survival analysis, nonparametric econometrics, multiple testing, and extremes.
