Abstract: Macroscopic Fluctuations Theory is the cornerstone of modern  non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Developed for boundary driven diffusive systems during the last 25 years, it remains mainly limited to interacting particle systems with short range interactions. In this talk we will explain how to generalise this theory for microscopic models with long range interactions which are macroscopically described by a fractional diffusion equation.
